Renae Griffin, Founder and CEO
Renae Griffin is Founder and CEO of RG + Associates (RG+A). Griffin brings more than 25 years of experience working in sales, marketing, project management and communications within the Financial Services industry.
Ms. Griffin began her career in finance in 1982 with Bankers Trust Company serving as an associate to senior officers in the commercial lending group. In 1986, Griffin joined Capital Guardian Trust Company as a marketing associate working with senior portfolio managers and marketing executives. In 1995, she joined Progress Investment Management Company as a marketing director responsible for investor relations, institutional investor marketing and strategy to many of the largest public institutional investors in the country.
Over the span of her career, Ms. Griffin came to understand the challenges faced by small, minority and/or women-owned businesses seeking to gain access to opportunities and capital to grow their firms, as well as institutional investors, corporations and government agencies seeking to diversify their business partners. As a solution, Ms. Griffin started her own consulting firm to create educational, business development, and networking platforms to bring these groups and others together. In 2006, RG+A expanded its offerings to include advisory services to institutional investors as well as government agencies.
Ms. Griffin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco. Ms. Griffin is a registered Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). She is a member of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP), Rotary International, Private Equity Women Investment Network, and Meeting Professionals International (MPI) organizations.
Diana McCaskill, Events Manager
Diana McCaskill has served as Events Manager for RG + Associates events since 2010. A as a long-standing strategic partner, she is responsible for the management and execution of RG+A’s signature and client events. Diana, is a Certified Meeting Professional with 20+ years in the meeting and hospitality industry. McCaskill began her career in the hotel arena. There she participated in a hotel management training program where she learned all aspects of the hotel business from front desk and human resources to sales. In 1997, McCaskill was recruited to join the San Diego Convention Center as a liaison with the Convention Center Citywide Sales Team and the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau.
In 1998, she joined the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau (SDCVB) to develop their Convention Services Department. There she worked with large citywide conventions as a liaison between the city, hospitality community, and logistics. In 2001, Ms. McCaskill was promoted to be the Tradeshow and Special Events Manager for the SDCVB. Ms. McCaskill has planned and executed 50 client events, membership meetings and tradeshows per year.
In 2005, McCaskill established Fruition Consulting as a meeting and event planning firm. Ms. McCaskill holds a BS in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego and has been a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) for 15 years.
Tim Rowley, Management Consultant
Mr. Rowley has more than 18 years of experience in senior investment, financial, operating, and development roles within the Private Equity, Financial Services and Telecom industries. Since 2008, Mr. Rowley has been a consultant, managing highly successful projects with large public sector and private clients including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the California Public Employees’ Retirement System and Nielsen Holdings.
Previously, Mr. Rowley was a Principal at Portland Private Equity, formerly part of ManuLife Financial, a Canadian financial services group with over $500 billion in assets under management. He was instrumental in growing commitments to the firm’s first institutional private equity fund to over $250 million. After helping to successfully raise the fund, Mr. Rowley played a key role in investing over $60 million which has generated a greater than 3X multiple of invested capital.
Prior to Portland Private Equity, Mr. Rowley was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where he was eCommerce Executive for a consumer products line of business with over $100 billion in assets. Mr. Rowley’s team grew online sales by over 40% annually and the online banking population by over 50% annually, while reducing portfolio servicing costs by over $30 million. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Rowley was a member of the founding team at 3Pardata, a cloud computing start-up that was acquired by Hewlett-Packard for $2.4B in September 2010.
Mr. Rowley has an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
