U.S. Private Equity and Venture Capital Investments - Keeping your Finger on the Pulse
May 1, 2012 | Four Seasons Hotel – Sydney
May 3, 2012 | Park Hyatt Hotel - Melbourne

Organizers

Organized as a Certified Trade Mission in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration and RG & Associates the Certified Trade Mission Organizer. The Global Road Show is a bilateral program supported by Ambassador Jeffrey L. Bleich, Embassy for the United States Canberra, Australia, and Australian government authorities, including the State of Victoria.

Objectives

To present to Australian institutional investors, including superannuation funds, family offices, private wealth, consultants, and fund of funds, the latest macro information and micro strategies for considering U.S. alternative investment strategies through an educational program featuring progressive and innovative U.S.-based alternative investment GPs with the ultimate objective of increasing inward flows of capital from Australia to the United States—an export of financial services to Australia

OVERVIEW

As the U.S. market begins its upward climb to recovery, what are some of the market drivers fueling the alternative investment landscape? Which strategies are proving to be the most opportunistic and how are GPs sourcing the right deals? International Investors also want to know how new U.S. policies and regulations (i.e, Dodd-Frank and the pending Volker Rule) will impact their ability to invest in the United States.

This two city trade mission is educational focused and designed to facilitate exposure, confidence and knowledge about the potential returns available across the spectrum of private equity and venture capital investment opportunities. The afternoon discussions will consist of briefings by government officials, thought-leadership by U.S. and Australian industry experts, and insights by visiting U.S. fund managers. In each city, the afternoon discussion will be followed by a reception and dinner with special remarks by Ambassador for the United States, Jeffrey L. Bleich and/or other U.S. and Australian officials. Formal or in-formal one-on-one meetings are also built into the agenda.
